According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid will announce that Carlo Ancelotti is leaving after the showdown with Barcelona, freeing him up to take the Brazil job.
The Italian tactician’s future has been in chaos over the last week, with reports of a done deal with the Brazilian Federation suddenly collapsing at the last minute.
The talks resumed, but Ancelotti is eager not to make the first step to leave the Merengues and wanted to put the onus all on President Florentino Perez.

Now Marca claim this evening that the decision has been made and Real Madrid will announce Ancelotti’s departure after the LaLiga battle with Barcelona next week, no matter the result.
It is going to be painted as a mutual separation, which can then allow the Italian to take the Brazil job.
It will allow him to start with them for the June World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay and Ecuador, meaning Real Madrid must find a replacement for the Club World Cup in June and July.

The timing is forced by Brazil needing to announce their squad for those fixtures by May 18, so they want to ensure the new coach has given his input.
Ancelotti can wave goodbye to the fans at the Bernabeu on May 14 against Real Mallorca, then in the final match against Real Sociedad.
He became one of the most successful coaches in the history of the club, winning three Champions League trophies, three Club World Cup titles, three European Super Cups, two LaLiga titles, two editions of the Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.
