Chelsea are reportedly looking at three main transfer targets to strengthen in central defence this summer.
The Blues could do with an upgrade on the likes of Levi Colwill, Trevoh Chalobah and the injury-prone Wesley Fofana if they are to make meaningful progress next season.
And it seems some big names are in Chelsea’s sights, with Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite and Ajax wonderkid Jorrel Hato linked by Sky Sports.
This is not the first time we’ve heard about Guehi to Chelsea links, with Liverpool also said to be one of the England international’s main admirers, as per a recent report from TBR Football.

Guehi was on Chelsea’s books as a youngster, but at that time he had to leave for more first-team football.
It’s fair to say that ended up being a smart decision by Guehi, who has shown what he’s capable of with his strong performances during his time at Selhurst Park.
The 24-year-old has shown he’s now surely ready to go back to playing at the very highest level, having become a crucial player for Palace and having also earned 23 England caps.
Guehi would surely be an automatic starter at Stamford Bridge now, and he’d also likely do a good job at Liverpool as a long-term successor to the ageing Virgil van Dijk.
CFC also have other options on their list, according to this Chelsea news update from Sky Sports, with Branthwaite and Hato looking like two other names who’d do a fine job for Enzo Maresca’s side.
It’s hard to imagine a talent like Branthwaite staying at a struggling club like Everton for much longer, so that could be one to watch.
Hato, meanwhile, looks like a player with a big future, and Ajax often tend to cash in on players like that once big clubs around Europe start taking notice of them.
