Italy striker Ciro Immobile is expected to be on the move again this summer, with reports that Besiktas do not intend to keep him.

The forward turned 35 in February and left Lazio after eight years to try a new adventure in Turkey in July 2024.

Although he had a decent showing with 15 goals in 35 competitive games, along with three assists, he has fallen down the pecking order under coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

According to Sports Digitale in Turkey, Solskjaer has decided he will cut down Immobile’s playing time even more in the final weeks of the season.

This is because the club does not consider the Italian to be part of the project moving forward and is already inviting offers to get him off the books in the summer.

Besiktas paid €2m to buy the veteran from Lazio and he is under contract until June 2026.

A return to Serie A would seem the most likely option, although retirement is also something to be taken into consideration.

Immobile scored 201 goals with 51 assists in 353 Serie A appearances throughout his career.

He also played in Germany for Borussia Dortmund, Spain for Sevilla and of course in the Turkish Super Lig with Besiktas.
