Serie A champions Inter Milan have received a double injury boost ahead of Friday’s home encounter against newcomers Parma.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Francesco Acerbi and Davide Frattesi are on the verge of returning to action.
Both players have been out of the squad in Inter’s last two competitive outings with minor fitness problems.
Indeed, Acerbi picked up a muscle injury in a 5-0 rout of Hellas Verona a fortnight ago.
Meanwhile, Frattesi has recently struggled with an ankle issue.
Therefore, Simone Inzaghi omitted them from his matchday squad last weekend.
Unfortunately, Inter’s game against Fiorentina had to be postponed after Edoardo Bove collapsed on the pitch.
Acerbi and Frattesi have reportedly returned to partial training.
However, they should join the group soon, meaning they could be at Inzaghi’s disposal against Parma.
On the other hand, the Nerazzurri head coach cannot call upon the services of Benjamin Pavard.
Indeed, the French center-back is still out with a thigh injury.
Inter cannot afford to drop points against the Crusaders, who stunned high-flying Lazio last Sunday.
They have fallen four points adrift of Serie A pacesetters Napoli after tragic events in Florence canceled their game against La Viola.
