Inter Milan star wingback Denzel Dumfries had to part with the Netherlands squad on Tuesday due to a muscle injury.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Dutchman will probably miss Inter’s next two matches.

Denzel Dumfries sustained a muscle problem against Atalanta last weekend.

Indeed, he had to come off midway through the second half, with Simone Inzaghi introducing Yann Bisseck in his place.

However, he had still departed the San Sor to join the national team, only to return the following day.

Inter will take on Udinese in their next Serie A outing on March 30.

Yet, Dumfries will not be at Inzaghi’s disposal for that fixture.

Furthermore, he’ll probably be on the sidelines when Inter and AC Milan lock horns in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tie.

There’s a small chance he could rejoin the team for an away clash against Parma.

However, that’s far-fetched as Inter expect to have him back for a high-stakes Champions League match against Bayern Munich.
