Nicolo Barella trained on his own today, with Simone Inzaghi ruling him out of contention for tomorrow’s game against Udinese.

Inter will lock horns with the Friulians in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 at Giuseppe Meazza.

However, the 27-year-old will not be able to help.

Instead, Inzaghi will probably turn to Davide Frattesi to fill the void.

Inter Milan Ace Nicolo Barella Trained on His Own on Wednesday

Barella was on the training ground today but worked on his own.

It’s uncertain when he’ll return to full fitness.

But there’s a growing chance he’ll be out of next weekend’s match against Como.

Indeed, the Italy international will likely rejoin the squad for the last league game of 2024 in a fortnight.

The Nerazzurri will take on Cagliari on December 28. In addition to Barella, it could be Francesco Acerbi’s return date.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Pavard will not feature for Inter again this calendar year.

The Frenchman could be back in January to help Inzaghi’s charges navigate a heavyweight clash against Atalanta in Riyadh.
