Lazio is reportedly already looking ahead to the upcoming summer transfer window. The Italian side is now showing an early interest in Chilean and CD Universidad Catolica midfielder Ignacio Saavedra, as noted by the Italian-based outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.
Saavedra is one player that Lazio has been reportedly scouting. So far, this is all that it is for Lazio at the moment as there have been no reports signaling a possible serious pursuit from the club for the Chilean talent.
The CDUC talent just recently finished off his second season as a regular starter with the Chilean powerhouse. He totaled for 42 appearances in all competitions, which included five in Copa Libertadores group stage play.
The 22-year-old midfielder helped officially clinch the Primera Division title for CDUC last month as he mounted for two assists over 31 starts in league play.
For a young prospect, Saavedra has already shown his prowess in playing multiple roles in the midfield.
It remains to be seen the extent of Lazio’s interest in Saavedra.
