As has been the case so often in the past few years, AC Milan and Inter are in discussion about the future of San Siro, and a favourable solution is emerging.
Since January, both Milanese clubs have been locked in discussions about their future home. WeBuild initially came forward with renovation plans for the iconic stadium, but after months of back and forth, it was deemed an unsuitable solution.
Nevertheless, there is still interest in San Siro, with Inter’s management speaking about the value of the area in recent times. This comes partnered with Milan’s own financial thoughts about moving to a new stadium.
For this reason, the hypothesis of purchasing San Siro and the surrounding land has been conjured up, and it seems both clubs are going along with the idea, with both seemingly open to the possibilities.
Today, La Repubblica (via Milan Press) have revealed why the clubs could be as interested as they are. Their report suggests that the price of buying the stadium would only be around €200 million, which is astoundingly cheap in comparison to the price of their own projects.
It is believed a document will be arranged within the next week, but the Rossoneri are continuing to evaluate the San Donato situation.
