After a difficult first season at Bayern Munich, it looks like Joao Palhinha’s agent is working to get his client back to the Premier League.
Sources with a close understanding of Palhinha’s situation have informed CaughtOffside that the Portugal international is likely to be offered to the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.
Having struggled for regular playing time at Bayern, Palhinha’s representatives look to be exploring a return to England, with other top flight clubs such as West Ham, Nottingham Forest and his former club Fulham also possibly among the teams to watch out for.
CaughtOffside understands that Bayern could be prepared to let Palhinha go after just one season, with the Bundesliga giants instead prioritising a new contract for Leon Goretzka as he forms a key part of their midfield.

Palhinha was immense during his time at Fulham and it’s easy to see why Premier League links are emerging ahead of the summer.
There is nothing that concrete just yet, but CaughtOffside understands that a return to the Premier League is Palhinha’s priority, and that big names like Arsenal and United are likely to be approached to assess their interest in a potential deal.
The 29-year-old looked like he would be a fine signing for Bayern, but it just hasn’t quite worked out for him, even if he’ll still surely have his admirers in England.
See below as Rio Ferdinand hyped up Palhinha a couple of years ago, describing him as “sensational” after the performances he put in for Fulham…

Palhinha would surely be welcomed back to Craven Cottage, but it’s also easy to imagine him being a major upgrade on someone like Casemiro at Old Trafford.
Arsenal, meanwhile, might also do well to consider Palhinha if he is indeed offered to them, as they have both Thomas Partey and Jorginho out of contract this summer.
Liverpool have decent depth in midfield, but might perhaps view Palhinha as an upgrade on Wataru Endo to give them more rotation options in that position.
