FIFA has officially announced the revenue for the Club World Cup, unveiling an eye-watering prize pool.

According to FCInterNews, the amounts the 32 participating clubs will receive for the tournament are staggering.

Defending Serie A champions Inter Milan will stake their title claim in the competition set to take place this summer in the USA.

Indeed, Simone Inzaghi reiterated the club’s ambition to take home this trophy for the second time in club history.

Meanwhile, Gianni Infantino offered an insight into the tournament’s lucrative prize pool.

Specifically, the total prize pool will be $1 billion, with $475 million allocated for performance-based rewards.

Furthermore, there’s an additional $525 million for participation.

For the performance-based component, the winner will earn $40 million.

On the other hand, the losing finalist will receive $30 million.

On top of that, each victory in the group stage will earn the team $2 million.

Finally, a draw will pour $1m into clubs’ coffers.
