Revealed: Roma rejected offers from Austria, Lecce, Venezia for Pisilli, now planning contract renewal

Niccolo Pisilli is living a golden moment with his beloved boyhood club.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been at the center of attention in the Italian capital in recent days.

Following his heroics in the latest 2-1 win over Venezia, Pisilli was included in Spalletti’s preliminary squad list for Italy’s upcoming international break.

Moreover, the Roma starlet has found himself also the subject of rumors regarding his past, as well as his future.

As reported by calciomercato.it, Lecce, Venezia and an Austrian club were after him in the summer.

But De Rossi first and foremost – who was crazy about the midfielder – and with him the sporting director Florent Ghisolfi wanted to strongly reject every offer.

Not only that, because Roma – after the talks with Pisilli’s agent in recent weeks – has every intention of starting negotiations soon for the renewal of the contract that currently expires in 2026.
