FIFA will soon reveal the cities that will host the inaugural edition of the expanded FIFA Club World Cup next summer in the United States.

Over the past few decades, this competition only featured the continental champions and the hosting city.

Nevertheless, FIFA has decided to expand it to a 32-team format. The tournament will feature clubs from all over the world, including Inter Milan.

Thanks to their positive results in the Champions League in the past few years, the Nerazzurri will be representing Serie A alongside arch-rivals Juventus.

As we all know now, the competition will take place in the United States between June 15th and July 15th. The draw should ensue in December.

However, we still don’t know which American cities and stadiums will host the big event.

But according to Calcio e Finanza via FcInterNews, this is about to change in the coming days.

The source reveals that FIFA will announce the hosting stadiums this Saturday.

Nevertheless, the source insists that the priority for FIFA president Gianni Infantino remains to resolve the TV rights issue.

FIFA Set To Announce FIFA World Cup Hosting Stadiums On Saturday

As reported earlier today, no broadcasters from Asia, the Middle East and North America offered to cover the World Cup.

Therefore, the tournament’s fate is still hanging in the balance, as it would be impossible to proceed without the elemental revenues from broadcasting.

So it remains to be seen if Infantino and Co. can find a swift solution on this front to avoid a global embarrassment.
