PSV head coach Peter Bosz has confirmed that Ricardo Pepi will lead the line in their Champions league clash against Liverpool on Wednesday. Bosz’s side have been wiped out by illness over the last week, which means there are several doubts for tomorrow’s game. PSV have all but secured a place in the Champions League playoffs. They currently sit 19th in the table on 11 points. Arne Slot’s Liverpool are flying high in top spot and are huge favourites heading into this one.

Jerdy Schouten has also been ruled out of the Liverpool game. Bosz revealed the midfielder needs rest after playing the entire 90 in their previous three Eredivisie games and featuring in their last eight across all competitions. Noa Lang is another doubt. The winger missed PSV’s win over NAC Breda due to illness and will be assessed ahead of tomorrow’s game in Eindhoven.

Peter Bosz is determined to claim at least one point against Liverpool. ‘We need at least one more point to be completely sure. So that’s how we approach it. You’ll beat yourself up in the head if you don’t do that and you won’t make it anyway.’ After Liverpool, PSV play NEC Nijmegen in the league before a crucial KNVB Cup quarter-final clash against Feyenoord.
