He hasn’t been in the best form for Manchester City this season, but that doesn’t mean Riyad Mahrez isn’t a wonderful footballer on his good days.
Mahrez lined up for Algeria in their AFCON 2021 qualifier with Zimbabwe on Monday, and the playmaker lit up the game with a tremendous goal in the first half.

Unfortunately it wasn’t enough for Algeria to win as Zimbabwe came roaring back to draw 2-2.
But the point is enough for the AFCON holders to remain comfortably top of Group H with two matches of qualifying to go.
