Robert Lewandowski praises two Barcelona youngsters after Valencia clash | OneFootball

Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has moved to reveal his admiration for two up-and-coming members of the club’s squad.

This comes owing to their respective performances in Barca’s season opener against Valencia on Saturday night.

Kicking the Hansi Flick era into gear, the Blaugrana made the trip to Mestalla, ultimately emerging on the right side of a 2-1 result.

The aforementioned Robert Lewandowski proved himself the star of the show, notching a brace either side of the interval.

A number of Barcelona’s young talents shone, too, though, with ‘the two Marcs’, Bernal and Casadó, having been hailed for their respective showings in the middle of the park.

And match-winner Lewandowski is one such individual to have been left altogether impressed by the commanding form of his two young teammates.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of Barca’s opening day triumph, frontman Lewandowski explained:

“We had some really young players in the midfield that performed really well in such a difficult game.”
