Rodolfo Pizarro has given Chivas supporters something to look forward to by declaring that he intends to return to play for the club one day.

Despite only joining MLS side Inter Miami in February, the 26-year-old already has plans to line out for the Guadalajara club again.

“They are in good times and in bad times and, yes, I am sure that I will return one day.”

The attacking midfielder spent just 18 months at the Akron Stadium, but in that short span helped them win the Clausura 2017 Copa MX and the 2018 CONCACAF Champions League.

He was controversially sold to Monterrey in the summer of 2018.

While with the Rayados he managed to win the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League, thus experiencing success in the competition two years in a row.

Although still very much in the prime of his career, Pizarro seems determined to renew his love affair with the Flock.

“So many things happened that it would seem that I was there for a long time. It marked me that year and a half and, logically, I will never forget it,” Pizarro said.

“It was a fleeting love, like that summer love from high school that lasts a little but is very real.”

As if all that wasn’t enough to swell the hearts of the Chivas faithful, he went on to list the Mexican sides he would never dream of playing for.

“Not in América, not in Atlas, not in Tigres,” the Mexico international said.

Pizarro played in two MLS games for Inter Miami, scoring once, before the league was suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
