The Giallorossi have had a disastrous campaign so far, as Claudio Ranieri was brought out of retirement to become their fourth different coach of 2024.

He made his debut at the weekend in a 1-0 Serie A defeat to leaders Napoli and now faces a very tough trip to a Spurs side fresh from crushing Manchester City 4-0.

Ranieri had to fly to London for a meeting with the Friedkin family, who run the club, so are they going to be in the stands?

“No, they are in Texas for Thanksgiving with their family. We talked over the last few days, we speak regularly about all Roma issues,” Ghisolfi told Sky Sport Italia.

Dybala and Hummels are in the starting XI, the first start for the defender since he joined as a free agent in September.

“They are two very different situations. Hummels has been training for weeks and works hard to be ready when the coach calls him.

“Dybala had some muscular problems and the medical staff tried to help him stay fully fit. Every match is important in this period of the season, we must find a balance between performance and squad rotation.”
