Roma are on the hunt for a winger to replace the injured Diego Perotti before the transfer market closes and it appears they may bring in a young Brazilian star.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma are ‘in advanced negotiations’ with Corinthians for 21-year-old Mateus Vital.
Though Corinthians are currently in the running for both the Copa Sudamericana and Brasileirão titles, they need to sell at least one decent player in order to fulfil their budget requirements for 2019.
Vital is desired by many teams throughout Europe for his ability to play on either wing or as a natural trequartista.
Perotti suffered a muscle injury in his left thigh in training last Friday and is expected to miss up to two months.
