Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes mocked Fiorentina defender Luca Ranieri after the Tuscans lost the Conference League Final to Olympiacos on Wednesday.

Ranieri and Paredes had a confrontation during Roma’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina in December 2023. The Italian defender called the Argentina World Cup winner a ‘Miracolato,’ which practically means ‘extremely lucky’ in Italian.

The video went viral in Italy and it’s safe to say that Paredes did not forget that night as the Giallorossi star trolled the Fiorentina centre-back on Thursday, the day after the Viola’s loss in the Conference League Final against Olympiacos.

Ranieri lost a duel with Ayoub El Kaabi in the dying minutes of extra time, seeing the Morocco international score the winner for Olympiacos.

Therefore, he was trolled by an Instagram account of Roma fans who remembered the confrontation with Paredes and what Ranieri had told their midfielder.

Paredes stepped in with a simple comment, a shushing face emoji that sums up his feelings towards the Fiorentina defender.
