Roma have been impressed by the growth of Mile Svilar and are ready to double his salary in a new long-term contract.
The 24-year-old Serbian shot stopper joined the Giallorossi two years ago from Benfica on a free transfer, initially being the backup option to Rui Patricio before taking on the starting spot under Daniele De Rossi in the second half of last season.
In the past, some Premier League clubs including West Ham and Wolves sent scouts to closely follow Svilar, interested in a possible deal for the goalkeeper, but Roma have no intention of losing the 24-year-old in the near future.
Daniele Aloisi of Calciomercato.com details how Roma have drawn up a new four-year contract for Svilar, doubling his salary from circa €800,000 net per season to €1.5m net plus add-ons, rewarding him for his growth in the Italian capital.
Last season, the 24-year-old shot stopper saw 2730 minutes of action across 30 matches, keeping 10 clean sheets and conceding 32 goals.
