Roma ready to sell flop Aouar to Al-Ittihad for 15m | OneFootball

Roma flop Houssem Aouar is reportedly on the verge of a transfer to Al-Ittihad for €15m plus add-ons, claims the Corriere dello Sport.

The midfielder arrived as a free agent last summer from Olympique Lyonnais, but struggled to make his mark at the Stadio Olimpico.

Jose Mourinho criticised his performances and he is not part of new coach Daniele De Rossi’s plans for the future either, especially after the signing of Enzo Le Fée from Stade Rennais.

Aouar failed to make impact at Roma

The 26-year-old Algeria international has been linked to several clubs, including OGC Nice and Al-Sadd in the Qatar Stars League.

However, the Corriere dello Sport argues this evening that an agreement is very close for Aouar to join Al-Ittihad for circa €15m.

He is set to leave Roma after making 25 competitive appearances, where he managed to score four goals.

The Italian sources suggest that the negotiations could reach a conclusion over the next 48-72 hours.
