According to Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo, Marseille midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi appears to be on his way to Genoa.

The Ukrainian attacking midfielder is said to have agreed personal terms with the newly promoted side and it is expected that the deal will be concluded in the next 24 hours.

Earlier in the transfer window, it appeared as if the former Atalanta player was set to join Ivan Juric’s Torino but it is believed that La Granata were unwilling to match Marseille’s demands over a transfer fee for the player given they have invested a substantial fee on Nikola Vlasic already this summer.

The move should bring an end to a very short spell in France for Malinovskyi, who has ignored interest from other leagues across Europe to return to Serie A.

Should the deal not fall through due to any late hitches, the player would add to what his already been a strong window for Il Grifone as he would join the likes of Mateo Retegui, Junior Messias and Morten Thorsby in making the move to Alberto Gilardino’s side.
