Sassuolo earn promotion to Serie A with 5 rounds to spare | OneFootball

Sassuolo are promoted back into Serie A after just one season in the wilderness, booking their ticket with five rounds to spare.

The Neroverdi had been a mainstay in the Italian top flight for the last decade and that 11 year run was interrupted by their relegation last summer.

However, it did not last long, as they have already done enough to secure promotion right back into Serie A for 2025-26.

Coach Fabio Grosso and his men were able to celebrate with five rounds to spare, as today’s 2-2 draw against Mantova proved enough.

They’ve been top of the table practically from start to finish, amassing 75 points in 33 games, thanks to 23 victories, six draws and four defeats.

They also have the most prolific attack on 73 goals, conceding 34.

The only team that could still feasibly prevent Sassuolo winning the Serie B title are Pisa, but there is a nine-point gap at the top of the table.
