The Scottish Football Association and Scottish Professional Football Release have confirmed the suspension of all football until at least 30 April.

A Joint Response group has been sent up between both parties in an attempt to deal with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

They have confirmed that all football in the country, be that professional or amateur, remains ‘suspended indefinitely and will not resume before 30 April’.

Citing medical evidence, it is reported that the peak of the virus will not be reached until May at the earliest, leading to the latest step being taken.

In addition, while the Scottish FA are pleased about their Euro 2021 play-off against Israel being postponed until 11 June, they claim it is ‘ambitious’ to hope it will be played on that date.

Finally, both parties insist it is their ‘firm intention’ to finish the 2020/21 campaign as soon as practically possible this year.
