As reported by Dominik Schneider, a number of options are available for Hoffenheim midfielder Sebastian Rudy.
The 33-year-old will be out of contract with Die Kraichgauer when his deal expires at the start of July, meaning that he is free to leave the club. Rudy is garnering interest from the 2. Bundesliga, Saudi Arabia and other European leagues.
However, there have not yet been any concrete proposals towards the former Bayern Munich midfielder and he is taking his time over his future. Rudy is in no rush to make a decision, but at 33, this may be the final move in what has been a phenomenal career.
Last season, Rudy appeared 23 times in all competitions for Hoffenheim where he would collect two assists. His final appearance against Stuttgart on matchday 34 sealed off a 327th game for Hoffenheim, leaving Rudy three games shy of Oliver Baumann’s club record 330 appearances.
As for Hoffenheim, they will be losing another midfielder in Christoph Baumgartner, who signed for RB Leipzig earlier on in the window. However, the return of Florian Grillitsch will help replace those departing, as Hoffenheim will look to add depth to a side that narrowly avoided relegation last term.
