Itā€™s been quite the week for Sergio Ramos.

The legendary defender received a 29th-career red card for Sevilla during their LaLiga defeat to Real Sociedad on Sunday, but he has turned the tide around to become a hero for his side tonight.

The 37-year-old turned home from Ivan Rakitićā€™s free-kick to give Sevilla a vital lead in their must-win Champions League clash with PSV at the RamĆ³n SĆ”nchez PizjuĆ”n stadium.

And heā€™s only gone and made history by scoring the 10,000th goal ever scored in the competition (since it rebranded as the Champions League in 1992), with Club Bruggeā€™s Daniel Amokachi bagging the first during that year.

That strike also means no defenders have scored more than Ramos in the competition, with his 16th goal levelling him with Roberto Carlos and Gerard PiquƩ.
