Sampdoria 0-3 Inter

Tessa Wullaert scored a brace to fire Inter to a commanding victory over Sampdoria. The Belgium international opened the scoring in the 15th minute, collecting Marie Detruyer’s neat cut-back before picking out the bottom corner with a precise strike. As the game neared the hour mark, Wullaert kept her composure to slot past the onrushing Amanda Tampieri to round off a slick passing move. Lina Magull then got in on the act, curling the ball in at the far post to wrap up a successful away trip for her side. As for the visitors, they have now lost each of their last four matches in all competitions.

Napoli 0-0 Fiorentina

Fiorentina would have been frustrated to drop two points in Saturday’s away meeting with Napoli. The visitors enjoyed 68% possession and registered a total of 12 shots during the course of the contest. However, they were unable to break down a stubborn Napoli backline. As a result of their strong defensive display, Napoli have now played out goalless draws in three of their last five league matches.

Juventus 2-2 Sassuolo

Cristiana Girelli required just four minutes to break the deadlock in Sunday’s contest. The forward pounced on a loose ball to thump home her sixth league goal of the season. After falling behind, Sassuolo produced a positive response through Gina Chmielinski. The 24-year-old’s attempted cross turned into a dangerous shot, as the ball looped over Lysianne Proulx before it dropped in at the far post. Sassuolo managed to stay on level terms until the hour mark when Alisha Lehmann restored Juventus’ slender advantage. Lehmann latched onto the ball on the edge of the box to drill a low strike into the bottom corner.

Juventus appeared to be heading to all three points until Chmielinski produced a spectacular strike in the 80th minute. Chmielinski collected Proulx’s misplaced pass, before she lifted a stunning long-range strike over the backpeddling goalkeeper and into the net. The visitors stood firm for the remainder of the contest to clinch a precious point against the league leaders.

Roma 2-1 Lazio

After playing out a goalless first half, Roma took the lead in the 57th minute of Sunday’s derby clash. Lucia Di Guglielmo nodded the ball in from close range to give her side a precious lead in front of a large crowd at Stadio Tre Fontane. The hosts then doubled their advantage through Valentina Giacinti, who fired a first-time strike in off the far post to register her third league goal of the season. A late Frederikke Thøgersen own goal denied Roma a clean sheet, but it failed to have a meaningful impact on the final result as the hosts secured derby bragging rights. As a result of the win, the reigning champions have moved to within five points of leaders Juventus.

AC Milan 0-1 Como

Alex Kerr scored the decisive goal in Sunday’s away meeting with AC Milan. The 23-year-old pounced on a defensive mix-up to squeeze the ball past Laura Giuliani in the Milan goal. Kerr’s first Como goal proved enough to secure her side a fourth consecutive league victory. As a result of the win, Como are sitting in fifth position, with a three-point cushion to sixth-placed Milan.
