Juventus are forced to use Nico Gonzalez as a centre-forward with Douglas Luiz in support for the Derby della Mole against Torino’s Che Adams and Samuele Ricci.
It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino at 17.00 GMT.
The tension is growing around the Bianconeri after they fumbled a lead to lose the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final against Milan in Riyadh last week.
Their Serie A form has been awful too, drawing five of the last six rounds, save for the win over rock bottom Monza.
Manuel Locatelli is suspended, with Dusan Vlahovic, Francisco Conceicao, Arek Milik, Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal injured.
Danilo is frozen out while negotiating an early termination to his Juventus contract.
It means Nico Gonzalez has to improvise as a centre-forward, with flop Douglas Luiz brought in as support.
Kenan Yildiz, Teun Koopmeiners and Samuel Mbangula try to fill out the creativity, while Weston McKennie is again chosen as a makeshift left-back.
Surprisingly, Koopmeiners is given the captain’s armband.

Torino are not faring much better with just one win and four draws in their last 10 Serie A matches, putting coach Paolo Vanoli under pressure.
The long-term injury list has Duvan Zapata, Zanos Savva and Emirhan Ilkhan out for much of the season.
Ricci and Saul Coco have shaken off knocks to start, but Sebastian Walukiewicz is not fully fit and Ivan Ilic is not even on the bench.
Adams leads the attack with Valentin Lazaro, Nikola Vlasic and Yann Karamoh.
The Granata have not won the Derby della Mole since a 2-1 home result in April 2015, managing five draws and 16 losses between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
