Saturday’s Serie A schedule closes with Atalanta’s trip to Parma, as La Dea and Gian Piero Gasperini have a mathematical chance of leading the league table by the end of the evening, depending on results elsewhere.
Atalanta are currently one of four teams within one point of the Serie A table, but another is Inter, who also play on Saturday afternoon.
In terms of team news, there was an enormous boost in the Atalanta camp on Friday, as it was confirmed that Italy international Giorgio Scalvini will travel with the team, despite rupturing his cruciate ligament (ACL) just over five months ago. He is not expected to start and it remains to be seen whether he is included in the matchday squad.

Davide Zappacosta, Berat Djimsiti and Sead Kolasinac have not travelled with the team, and Gianluca Scamacca remains out long-term, also with an ACL injury.
Otherwise, Gasperini has a relatively fit and available squad at his disposal, likely to be led by the division’s top goalscorer Mateo Retegui and the Ballon d’Or nominated Ademola Lookman.
Kick-off is due at 19.45 GMT.
Parma (4-2-3-1): Chichizola; Coulibaly, Delprato, Balogh, Valeri; Estevez, Sohm; Man, Hainaut, Cancellieri; Bonny.
Atalanta (3-4-1-2): Carnesecchi; Kossounou, Hien, Djimsiti; Bellanova, De Roon, Ederson, Ruggeri; Pasalic; Lookman, Retegui.
