As the weekend approaches, we are entering the ‘thick and fast’ part of the international break, and several AC Milan players should be in action today.
In the past 24 hours, Milan have had four players represent their respective national teams. Yesterday Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan featured in a 0-0 draw as France took on Israel in the UEFA Nations League. Yunus Musah and Christian Pulisic – who got another nice assist – played in America’s 1-0 win against Jamaica in the early hours of this morning.
Unfortunately, Samuel Chukwueze was an unused substitute in Nigeria’s 1-1 draw in the AFCON qualifiers.
Today, we can expect more Rossoneri representation, and there are seven players whose nations are in action today.
Switzerland vs. Serbia: 20:45 CET, Zurich – UEFA Nations League
There are three possible representatives from the Diavolo as Serbia travel to Switzerland. However, with reports suggesting that Luka Jovic has an injury, it seems unlikely that he will be involved in any capacity. Noah Okafor will also be looking for a first international appearance since June.
Portugal vs. Poland: 20:45 CET, Porto – UEFA Nations League
After heavily impressing in the last international break, Leao has re-found himself in recent weeks, and looks to be enjoying his football once again. With a Leao full of confidence, Portugal will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run in the Nations League.
Denmark vs. Spain: 20:45 CET, Copenhagen – UEFA Nations League
It has been heavily questioned whether Morata will feature in the game against Denmark, given he is still a few days away from finishing the concussion protocol. However, he has taken part in training, so there is a possibility he is among those listed on the team sheet tonight.
Poland vs. Italy: 16:00 CET, Bialystok – Elite League U20
Italy’s U20 squad have struggled so far in the Elite League U20, but Kevin Zeroli and Lorenzo Torriani will be looking to have an impact against Poland who have struggled similarly to the Azzurini.
We compiled a full list of the Rossoneri internationals before the break began, so it is definitely worth checking out for the full run-down!
