West Ham can once again count themselves lucky after a tight win away at Southampton.
The bottom of the table side, who are on 6 points after now 18 matches played, had a hatful of chances to claim a big win against a Hammers side who again struggled.
Julen Lopetegui side looked lost again this season, struggling to showcase the quality the side possesses, as the hosts looked hungry to start life under Ivan Juric in style.
Despite the chances though, they were unable to convert, as West Ham took advantage with a smash & grab on the coast – thanks to a Jarrod Bowen winner.
The goal came in the 59th minute, as Tomas Soucek headed across goal as Bowen fired in after Fullkrug poked into his path.
Southampton will feel hard done by, while Lopetegui will no doubt be a relieved man as somehow West Ham go level on points with Spurs and above Manchester United despite the shambolic season so far.
