The winger has made 18 appearances for the Blades in all competition so far this season.

Crystal Palace will not recall Jesurun Rak-Sakyi from his loan at Sheffield United in January, despite the Eagles' lack of options in their current squad.

That's according to Alan Nixon via Patreon, who has stated that the Premier League club are happy with the winger's progress at the Blades so far this season, and although they do lack numbers at Selhurst Park, they will allow the 22-year-old to stay in Yorkshire for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign.

Rak-Sakyi has made 18 appearances in all competitions so far under the guidance of Chris Wilder at Sheffield United, and has made solid progress with consistent minutes on the pitch following a difficult year at Selhurst Park which saw him play just six times in the league.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi set to stay at Sheffield United for the remainder of the season

After spending the 2022/23 season on loan in League One with Charlton Athletic and having great success there, it was extremely important for the young talent to have another campaign in a lower division to enhance his development after an injury-hit 2023/24.

However, with Palace currently having a threadbare squad, it seemed likely that Rak-Sakyi was going to return to his parent club in January and help from the bench.

Nevertheless, Oliver Glasner is happy with the progress that his starlet has made at Sheffield United so far, and would rather see him play every week and develop than use him sparingly with the Eagles.

This will come as a relief to both Wilder and the club's supporters, who have grown fond of the talented winger, and it allows them to focus on other positions in the upcoming transfer window.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has been a driving factor behind Sheffield United's success

It's been an excellent season so far for Sheffield United, with the Yorkshire side top of the Championship following a weekend that saw both Leeds United and Sunderland lose, the latter of which coming at the hands of the Blades.

Rak-Sakyi has played an important role in helping them reach the level that they currently have, and he is on a good run of form, scoring twice and picking up an assist in his last three matches.

The 22-year-old has proven to be very dangerous off the right-hand side, and his ability to cut in on his left foot to open himself up for a shot has been successful on numerous occasions, while also linking up well with Alfie Gilchrist on that flank.

The Palace loanee still has a lot to learn in the game, despite impressing so far, and remaining at Bramall Lane for the rest of the season will only help and not hinder. Blades supporters will be more than happy to see him remain at the club and continue to develop under their watchful eye.
