With his latest defeat against Wolves, Ruben Amorim is apparently having the worst start of a managerial stint at Manchester United since 1932.
On a foggy evening at the Molineux, the Red Devils were nowhere to be seen. After an inspiring first half, Bruno Fernandes betrayed the cause by leaving his teammates with a man down after earning himself two yellow cards for reckless fouls.
And with an entire half still to be played, 10-man United were never likely to survive, especially based on their current form. Wolves pounced on their numerical advantage as well as the Reds’ shambolic set-piece defending to break the lead through a direct corner kick from Matheus Cunha who evoked memories of Son Hueng-min’s almost identical goal from last Thursday’s Carabao Cup clash.
With the visitors bringing men forward in desperation, Wolves punished them by scoring a second goal at the death through Hwang Hee-chan, thus sealing Man Utd’s third defeat in as many fixtures across all competitions.
Moreover, Amorim has now suffered five defeats in his first 10 fixtures in charge at the club.

So according to Sky Sports, the Portuguese tactician is the first Manchester United manager to lose as many as five of his first 10 games in charge of the club in all competitions since Walter Crickmer in January 1932. The latter had actually suffered six defeats in his first 10.
So with the Red Devils lying 14th in the Premier League table, all signs suggest this is panning out to be one of the worst campaigns in the club’s history, and potentially the ultimate worst in recent memory.
Man United insider Samuel Luckhurst described this edition as the worst in his lifetime, as the team is filled with ‘pushovers’ who don’t deserve to wear this shirt.
