FLW looks at two sagas involving Hull City which could run the length of the transfer window

As is so often the case, numerous transfer sagas in the window can drag on to the very end.

Hull City have seen such instances happen on numerous occasions over the years, and this summer window once again looks like it could be no exception after a slow start to business, particularly when referring to potential incomings.

Patience has been called for by the club hierarchy and new boss Tim Walter at the same time that the rumour mill continues to circulate when it comes to transfer news in the Championship.

With that being said, Football League World looks at two players who could see decisions on their short-term future be unknown until the very end of the window, which is at 11PM on August 30th.

Dogukan Sinik

The enigma that is Dogukan Sinik features first, with his future at the MKM Stadium still up in the air despite no official bids at this moment in time.

It's a shame that the Türkiye international's career in English football has reached such a pivotal crossroads after a damning two years, but the harsh reality is that the best possible scenario could be for Sinik and Hull to part ways with each other.

The former Antalyaspor man remains somewhat of a mystery to Tigers fans under what is now the third managerial regime since penning a £4m deal under Shota Arveladze two years ago.

Sinik sustained a knee problem immediately afterward, and that has been the reoccurring theme of his spell, only making 13 appearances in Black and Amber so far, with his last being a 22-minute cameo against Ipswich Town in between loan spells with Antalyaspor and Hatayaspor, where goal contributions and appearances remained limited.

The 25-year-old returned to East Yorkshire for pre-season training under Walter at the beginning of the month, but was once again left cursing his luck after accumulating a tendon setback for approximately two weeks.

Perhaps the saving grace for Sinik is that City have confirmed the departure of Jaden Philogene to Aston Villa, meaning that options are currently light in the wide department. However, if more bodies and quality is added in those areas between now and the deadline, we could see the six-time international move on, with his contract expiring next June.

Sean McLoughlin

Sean McLoughlin's situation at the MKM is an interesting one to weigh up at present.

Once again, the defensive department in East Yorkshire is also lacking real depth at present following Jacob Greaves' well-earned move to the Premier League, meaning that any potential exit for the former Cork City man could be put on the backburner until the window's latter stages.

However, the 27-year-old does have a previous reputation for building a solid defensive partnership with Alfie Jones at a time when Greaves featured at left-back under Liam Rosenior, meaning that the Irishman would provide some adequate cover once again, if reinforcements came through the door as soon as possible.

23 of his 107 appearances for the club came in last season's Championship, which has led to interest from Blackburn Rovers, with transfer guru Alan Nixon claiming that McLoughlin could be available for a fee in the region of just £500,000.

McLoughlin was then quizzed about the rumours by local publications but didn't give much away, other than stating that he is still content with his role with the Tigers after initially signing under Grant McCann five years ago.

Hull CEO Tan Kesler has also admitted that there has been an offer from an overseas club for the one-time youth international, although it remains to be seen how further any deal could progress.

"So all of these links, for us, are just a justification of how well of a job we've done, and we've never put any price on any of our players. So in this case, yes, there is interest in Sean," he told BBC Radio Humberside.

"Nothing concrete, only Sean's had an official offer from abroad."
