Paulo Fonseca has decided to invite the families of the AC Milan players tomorrow for the final training session before the Christmas break. According to a report, this was greatly appreciated by the squad.
Milan returned to the training ground today after the 1-0 win against Hellas Verona last night. The starters worked in the gym while the rest were out on the pitch, including Ismael Bennacer who now has recovered from his calf injury.
According to Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, the players will have December 23, 24 and 25 off for Christmas celebrations while training will resume on the 26th. Preparations will then start for the game against Roma on the 29th, which is another must-win for Fonseca.
Before the mini-vacation, however, the players’ families will also visit Milanello. In fact, Fonseca has invited them all to tomorrow’s training session (Sunday) and this is a move that was greatly appreciated by the Milan players.
While the first half of the season hasn’t gone according to plan, it will be an opportunity for the players to relax a little and regain the much-needed spark to win football games. That being said, hopefully they won’t indulge too much during the three days off.
