Barcelona have firmly ruled out any possibility of signing Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, making it clear that he is not part of their transfer plans, claims a report from Fichajes.
The Ghanaian international, whose contract with Arsenal expires in June, has been exploring options for his next move.
However, despite being offered to the Catalan giants, the club has shown no interest in securing his services.
Hansi Flick has a clear vision for Barcelona’s midfield, and he does not see the need for additional reinforcements in that area.
The German coach believes the team is well covered, especially with Frenkie de Jong on his way to full recovery.
Young talents like Marc Casado and Marc Bernal are also expected to play a bigger role next season, further strengthening the midfield options.

Additionally, the squad already has established players such as Pedri, Gavi, Dani Olmo, and Fermin Lopez, ensuring depth and quality in the centre of the pitch.
Despite Partey’s availability, Barcelona’s sporting management has not entertained the idea of making a move for him.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are engaged in discussions about a potential contract renewal, but the 31-year-old midfielder has also attracted interest from other European clubs, including Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona’s transfer focus remains elsewhere. Strengthening the attack is the priority, particularly in bringing in a left winger who can also operate as a centre forward.
With this strategic approach in place, there is no room for Partey in the club’s plans. Flick remains confident in the current midfield setup, and the club is not looking to make unnecessary signings in that department.
As things stand, Barcelona are sticking to their blueprint for squad improvement, ensuring that resources are allocated to positions that truly need reinforcements.
With Partey no longer an option, all attention is on securing the right attacking profiles to enhance the team’s competitive edge.
