Southampton have announced the news that five first team players will be leaving the club this summer.

The Saints revealed their summer exit list via a post on their official club website this morning.

It has been confirmed that Alice Griffiths, Rianna Dean, Izzy Milne, Emma Thompson and Emily Kraft are all leaving St Mary’s Stadium this summer.

Forward Dean had already announced that she would be leaving the club earlier this week. The player has scored nine league goals in 19 games for The Saints over two seasons.

Youngster Milne has been a regular in the Southampton squad over the last two seasons, although she has been limited to just five substitute appearances.

Griffiths, Thompson and Kraft all spent time out on loan this season. Griffths spent the second half of the campaign at Durham, Thompson joined Portsmouth on loan in January and Kraft spent the season at Aberdeen.

In other squad news, Southampton have taken up an option to extend influential midfielder Rachel Rowe’s contract by a further year. The club remain in negotiations with Jemma Purfield, Lucia Kendall, Molly Pike, Chloe Peplow, Benedicte Håland and Atlanta Primus.

Southampton went into the 2024/2025 season with aims of challenging for promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League. The club ended the campaign in eighth position in the Barclays Women’s Championship table, 22 points behind eventual winners London City Lionesses.
