Southampton have confirmed Ivan Jurić as their new manager.
Jurić takes the reins at the relegation-threatened South Coast club on an initial 18-month contract following Russell Martin's departure from the hot seat last weekend.
The Croatian joins the Saints just six weeks since he was relieved of his duties with Serie A giants Roma following a dismal 12-game spell.
"I think it's a really big challenge but I’m very optimistic because I saw a team that can do better," said Jurić.
“It's important to immediately be connected with the fans.
"I want an aggressive team and I think that fans of Southampton will like that.”
The 49-year-old, whose appointment is subject to work permit approval, is set to take charge of his first game in Sunday's Premier League trip to Fulham.
