Southampton are among ‘a number of Premier League clubs’ considering summer moves for Oxford United defender Robert Dickie.
Dickie has been a standout performer for The U’s this term, making 40 appearances across three different competitions.
According to Football Insider, Southampton are keen to bolster their defensive options come July and have sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old.
Dickie also impressed during Carabao Cup clashes against West Ham and Manchester City, in addition to their FA Cup fourth round tie against Newcastle.
Oxford are reluctant to lose the defender – especially having seen Shandon Baptiste and Tariqe Fosu join Brentford in January – but understand that rejecting good offers will be difficult.
Burnley have also expressed an interest.
