Southampton Star Booked For Medical Ahead Of Exit | OneFootball

Sekou Mara is scheduled for a medical at Strasbourg on Tuesday as he closes in on an exit from Southampton this summer.

The 22-year-old striker was a bit part player in Southampton’s promotion campaign last season and scored just three times in the Championship.

Saints have been open to letting him as they look to balance the books after backing Russell Martin with signings.

Strasbourg have moved in quickly to work out an agreement for his move back to France on a permanent move.

The deal is rapidly progressing and according to French daily Le Parisien, Strasbourg have already booked a medical for the striker.

Mara will be put through his medical checks by the French club on Tuesday ahead of his proposed move.

Personal terms are not expected to be a problem and the forward will sign a long-term contract with Strasbourg once he passes the medical.

Southampton are set to bag a fee of €12m from the sale of a player they signed for around €11m in 2022.
