Throughout the course of the previous two months, Southampton fans have taken pride in boasting Aaron Ramsdale's saves. The Saints rate him among the country's elite goalkeepers but the same isn't true from Thomas Tuchel's standpoint.

Understandably, this situation isn't pleasing and watching a similar pattern in the Nations League again disappointed Southampton fans. That's because Gavin Bazunu was also phased out from Republic of Ireland's playing eleven to give the nod to Liverpool's Kelleher.

Honestly, they can't be blamed for not trusting Bazunu enough when they have a soon-to-be Premier League winner at their disposal.

Still, the 23-year-old has his admirers at St. Mary's who even consider him a rightful deputy for Aaron Ramsdale. And that belief was ever present at the club even when Bazunu was working his way through an injury comeback.
