AC Milan want to wrap up the appointment process of their new sporting director shortly – a date and early tasks have already been earmarked.
This will be a summer of change for Milan, and this is why it is important to lay the foundations for it as soon as possible. So, starting in the next few days, Giorgio Furlani will start his final round of meetings with candidates.
As Sportmediaset (via Milan News) state, the appointment will hopefully be made before Easter, meaning there is a short period to make any initial changes, though, an earlier appointment is definitely possible.
Igli Tare and Fabio Paratici are the main priorities at this point, but there are a few other names of interest, and the picture should become clear shortly.
Once the successful candidate is chosen, they will not be given the luxury of an introduction period, instead, they must get straight to work and their priorities have already been outlined.
It will start with the renewal situations of Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez. A decision must be made on each of their futures, and then contracts will be decided from there. Then, Sergio Conceicao’s future must be clarified, if he is not to remain, then a new head coach must be found.
