Spurs signed Spence in summer 2022 after the player left Barclays Women’s Super League champions Chelsea. The 31-year-old Jamaican international has gone on to make 34 appearances for The Lilywhites in the Barclays Women’s Super League in which she has scored five goals. Spurs head coach Robert Vilahamn has ambitious long-term plans for success and Spence remains an important member of his squad.

The midfielder is one of the most decorated players in the Spurs squad. Spence enjoyed huge success with former club Chelsea. The player won six Barclays Women’s Super League titles with The Blues along with four Adobe Women’s FA Cups, two FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cups and the FA Women’s Community Shield. Spence was also a UEFA Women’s Champions League finalist with the South West Londoners.

Spence is the second player to sign a new contract at Spurs during the close season. Forward Jess Naz has also opted to extend her contract with The Lilywhites since the end of the season.
