A head-turning statistic surrounding the ongoing dominance of La Liga giants Real Madrid in recent meetings with Liverpool has on Thursday come to the fore online.

This, of course, comes after the two heavyweights of European football were pitted against one another once more.

The draw for the latest edition of the UEFA Champions League took place ago.

As part of UEFA’s revamped format, a whole host of mouthwatering ‘league phase’ fixtures were pencilled in, none bigger than that between the aforementioned Real Madrid, and Liverpool.

Two of the three most successful clubs in the history of European competition, Los Blancos and the Reds will lock horns for the latest time in a highly-anticipated meeting at Anfield.

And, if the latter hope to emerge with a positive result, then they will require a major turnaround in fortunes…

This comes with Real Madrid having utterly dominated the most recent meetings between the sides.
