BlueCo-owned Racing Club de Strasbourg are aiming to sign Chelsea FC goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic (24) on loan, according to a report from L’Equipe. The outlet understands that Les Alsaciens were previously interested in proposing a loan move for Lorient goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo (30), but the latter and the relegated Brittany Ligue 2 side would rather part ways on the basis of a permanent transfer, which has led Strasbourg to pull out of a deal.

The Liam Rosenior-led Ligue 1 club are now focusing on bringing Petrovic to La Meinau. Signing the Serbian goalkeeper is seen as a priority for Les Alsaciens. The Chelsea FC executives would be willing to loan the former New England Revolution goalie to their sister club, considering Enzo Maresca’s Blues are packed in the goalkeepers’ department. Talks are said to be underway between Strasbourg and Chelsea although Petrovic is yet to greenlit a loan move to the Ligue 1 club.
