Strasbourg could send Caleb Wiley back to Chelsea | OneFootball

Caleb Wiley (19) could make a premature return to parent club Chelsea, according to a report from L’Équipe.

The USMNT defender has struggled since making the move on loan to RC Strasbourg Alsace in the summer. He joined Chelsea from Atlanta in the summer before being shipped straight out to RCSA. However, he has yet to establish himself at the club and has made just six first-team appearances. He has not featured since dislocating his shoulder against OGC Nice in late November.

Lemarechal, Mwanga, and Perea could also leave RCSA

With Diego Moreira establishing himself as the No.1 pick at left-back, Wiley could be allowed to return to partner club Chelsea in January, L’Équipe understands. The publication understands that there could be more departures from Strasbourg in January. Félix Lemarechal, who has failed to impress since his €8m move from AS Monaco in the summer, and Junior Mwanga, could also secure exits next month. Oscar Perea, who joined for €5m in the summer, could also leave on loan having disappointed in his first few months in Alsace.
