Following a season with Adana Demirspor, the central-midfielder is now without a club, having left the Turkish side due to unpaid wages, as per RMC Sport.

According to French outlet, L'Équipe, the 21-year-old is not short of options, with Serbian side, Red Star Belgrade, having made an offer earlier in September.

On 2022 deadline day, Sunderland acquired Michut from his former side, Paris Saint Germain, on a season-long loan, along with Amad Diallo and Abdoullah Ba.

Having come through the academy at PSG, Michut had made eight first team appearances for the French side but was in need of regular minutes.

The Frenchman's start to life on Wearside was hampered by a leg injury, which kept him out for a string of games at the start of the season. Having built up match fitness, the midfielder then suffered another injury setback after playing just 66 minutes across four league matches.

During the second half of the season, Michut kicked on and showcased to fans exactly why he had been on the books at one of world football's biggest clubs.

Playing alongside Dan Neil in central-midfield, Michut demonstrated his ability on the ball, and despite being short and slight in stature, he was able to compete alongside some of the Championship's towering figures.

The PSG loanee played a part in Sunderland's late promotion surge and assisted the club to a sixth place finish before the club came unstuck against Luton Town in the play-off semi-finals. The Frenchman left the Roker Men having made 28 appearances across all competitions.

According to L'Équipe, the Black Cats were exploring a deal to sign Michut on a permanent basis following his spell in the North East, but the midfielder eventually joined Adana Demirspor on loan instead.

Having spent just over a season with Adana Demirspor, Michut is now without a club after it was reported by RMC Sport that he had not been paid his wages by the club.

Michut faced a familiar start to his spell in Turkey as the midfielder missed the start of the season while regaining match fitness.

However, as the season went on, Michut became a regular starter for the Süper Lig side, and made a total of 25 appearances for the club in all competitions.

The central midfielder made two league appearances for the Turkish side during the new 2024/25 season, but will play no further part in their campaign having departed the club.

Considering Michut's experience across Europe at the tender age of 21, the Frenchman should not be short of suitors. During his spell in England, the midfielder demonstrated his technical ability on the ball and was also a regular in the competitive Turkish top flight.

Although Red Star Belgrade reportedly made a move for the 21-year-old earlier in September, he still remains without a club, and it will be intriguing to see where his immediate future lies.

Whoever picks up the Frenchman will have a talented player on their hands with his best years ahead of him.

Former PSG academy product, Michut, is currently a free agent, following his departure from Adana Demirspor.

The central-midfielder made an impact while on loan at Sunderland during the 2022/23 season, when they finished in the Championship play-off places.

At 21 years of age, Michut has his best years ahead of him and should not be without a club for much longer.
