Surprise trio included as Barcelona name squad for Spanish Super Cup | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday unveiled the club’s travelling squad for this week’s Spanish Super Cup.

And it features, most notably, a trio of surprise inclusions…

The first two come in the form of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor.

Amid the ongoing registration drama surrounding the pair, the assumption was that summer signings Olmo and Víctor would not be called up for the Supercopa.

As alluded to above, though, despite the fact that neither is technically eligible to take to the pitch in Blaugrana colours, both have been called to make the trip to Saudi Arabia.

And also featuring in the travelling party is youngster Marc Bernal.

Midfielder Bernal is of course sidelined long-term at present, owing to a serious knee injury picked up all the way back in August.

Amid efforts to maintain his close bond with his teammates, though, the 17-year-old will be on the flight to Saudi Arabia.
