A suspect in the 2022 kidnapping and extortion of Paul Pogba (31) has been released from prison.

According to a report by L’Équipe, Adama C. who has been indicted for his role in the player’s kidnapping was released last week from detention after he had been incarcerated for the past year.

From the 19th to the 20th of March 2022, Pogba was kidnapped and robbed in Paris by two unidentified and armed men who demanded that they be paid €13 million. Adama C., a former childhood friend of the World Cup winner, was present on the night and is alleged by the investigation to have played a major role in the events that occurred.

This is an accusation that Adama C. strongly denies, he has always maintained his innocence and claims that on the night in question, he was a victim just like the player.

Six suspects have been indicted in the investigation into this case, although only one man remains in detention. Roushdane K who is alleged to have directed the kidnapping of the player.
