Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team for this afternoon’s game against Hearts. Celtic went into the break with a 3-0 win over Rangers at Celtic Park to continue their perfect start to the season. The manager has elected to give Arne Engels as start at the expense of Paulo Bernardo in a starting XI with one change from the Glasgow Derby win.

In goals, Kasper Schmeichel continues. The Dane is yet to concede in the Premiership upon his return to Scottish football and he will be keen to continue that today.

Hearts visit Celtic Park after a tough start to the season, taking just one point from their opening four games as well as losing in the League Cup and Europa League Qualifiers. Steven Naismith’s Jambos are in the trenches and a defeat this afternoon could increase the speculation about Naismith’s future.

Celtic will be looking to prepare for their UEFA Champions League campaign opener against Slovan Bratislava, who visit Paradise on Wednesday. The Scottish Champions will want to start the new look league phase with three points against the Pot 4 side.
